Yoga has always been my friend and passion.
I’ve been doing dynamic and flow yoga for years. When I practised yoga it was the same way, always needing to do really intense poses. I practised like taking drugs to numb the external body, so I felt the momentary peace inside.
I become flexible, strong and my heart was no longer empty, it was filled with space. But there was always a feeling, a voice that says this was not quite who I really am.
Don’t stop searching until I see who I am.
Last February, I completed my hot yoga teacher training with master Jozef Wiewel at My Soul Space and I fell in love with hot yoga!
I learnt so much throughout teaching and practising. I realised doing the same poses over and over actually is so great. From my own experience as I know the sequence very well, I can focus on breathing and deepening my pose during practice.
When you find the breath, you feel the body start to change. When the breath is calmed the mind will be still and feel the rhythm of the movement.
I truly experience moving meditation.
When you familiarise yourself enough with a series of movements and the body begins to naturally flow with less and less guessing how to do it - This is where the opportunity for meditation comes in.
Form knowing, to understanding to realisation, was an accumulation of repeated practice the after time. Learning form the physical (outside) and also learning form my inner self.
Yoga is a way of moving into stillness in order to experience the truth of who you are.
